About this part

A 1/4 inch flush valve for RO water purifiers: a small on/off ball valve with a push-fit (quick connect) socket at each end and a blue lever, as in the photos.
As a flush valve, it goes on the membrane's drain (reject) line. Opened, it lets water bypass the flow restrictor, so a fast flow rinses the membrane. Closed, the purifier works as normal. It can also serve as a plain shut-off valve on any 1/4 inch line.
Replace it when it leaks, the lever is stiff or broken, or it no longer shuts fully.
