The long body handle for the Futura Stainless Steel 4 litre pressure cooker, in the Futura box (code BHFSS4). It comes with a screw, nut and spring washer. The box says 2005 version; Hawkins' parts list gives it for the 1994 and 2005 versions.
It is the main handle on the cooker body. Replace it when it is cracked, burnt, or loose even with the screw tight.
Check before you order: the hard anodised Futura 4 litre takes a different handle (BHF4), and the Futura Stainless Steel 5.5 litre shares the BHFSTD handle of the 5 to 7 litre Futura. For this size, Hawkins places the nut between the bracket and the cooker body before the handle is screwed on.
A cracked handle on a hot vessel is a burn waiting to happen. Handles are bolted on, so a swap takes minutes and restores full use.
