Hawkins' Large Gasket (code LG): the sealing ring for the Hawkins Bigboy 18 litre and 22 litre pressure cookers, as printed on the Bigboy pack.
It sits in the groove of the lid and seals it against the body, so the cooker can build pressure. Replace it when steam leaks around the lid, the cooker is slow to come to pressure, or the ring has gone hard, cracked or loose.
Hawkins' parts list says to place it in the lid groove with the flatter side of the ring on top.
Check before you order: this ring is only for the 18 and 22 litre Bigboy. The Bigboy 14 litre takes the smaller Intermediate Gasket (IG).
