The rubber sealing ring (gasket) for Prestige Nakshatra pressure cookers of 5 litre and 6.5 litre. It fits both the aluminium and the stainless steel Nakshatra, which have an inner lid.
The gasket sits in the rim of the lid and seals it, so the cooker can build pressure. Replace it when steam leaks from the edge of the lid, the whistle takes much longer than before, or the ring has gone hard, cracked, stretched or loose.
Check before you order: this ring is only for the 5 litre and 6.5 litre Nakshatra. The 1.5 and 2 litre, 3 and 4 litre, and 8 and 10 litre Nakshatra each take a different gasket. Prestige's stainless steel Nakshatra gasket (60546) also lists a 5 litre. That one is for the range made in 3.5, 5 and 7 litre, so order it if your cooker is from that range.
