Prestige's metallic safety plug (safety valve), the regular size. As printed on the Prestige pack, it suits the Popular, Supreme, Ultimate and regular cookers, including regular stainless steel cookers.
The plug sits in the lid and releases the pressure if it gets too high inside the cooker. Replace it if it has blown, leaks steam, is damaged or is missing. Never use the cooker without it.
Check before you order: a Prestige parts seller also lists it for the Popular Plus and the Triply, and says it does not fit the newer Deluxe cookers (from 2005). Those take the mini safety plug (Prestige 60115). Fit it only when the cooker is cold and empty.
Frayed cords and loose pins are the commonest cause of intermittent power, and the cheapest fault on this list to put right.
