A side handle (helper handle) for Butterfly Junior-size pressure cookers: the short loop handle on the opposite side of the body from the long handle. It is black, with a steel strip where it meets the cooker, and comes with a screw and nut, as in the photos.
It lets you hold the cooker with both hands. Replace it when it is cracked, burnt, or loose even with the screw tight.
