A compatible 6 mm hob knob, sold by our supplier as Type C for built-in gas hobs of all brands. It has a black body and a metallic blue grip across the top, with a small dot as the pointer.
Inside is a D-shaped hole with a metal spring clip for the valve spindle.
Replace a knob when it is cracked, loose on the spindle, or turns without moving the gas valve.
Check before you order: your old knob should have the same D-shaped hole for a 6 mm spindle. A stiff or wobbly spindle means the valve needs a repair, not a knob. Types A and B are also listed.
If you smell gas, close the cylinder valve, do not switch any light or appliance on or off, open the doors and windows, and call your gas agency or the LPG emergency number 1906.
