A brass-coloured hob jet (gas nozzle) stamped 25, for built-in gas hobs. Our supplier lists it for all brands.
Every burner has a jet like this underneath. Gas leaves through the fine hole in its tip, mixes with air and burns at the burner. The number on the jet marks the size of that hole.
A blocked or damaged jet gives a small, weak flame on one burner while the others burn normally. Jets are also changed when a hob moves between LPG and piped natural gas.
