Preethi's gasket (sealing ring) for Preethi 5 litre aluminium and hard anodised pressure cookers and the 3 litre pressure pan. The capacity box on the Preethi pack reads 3L Pan / 5L, and the pack calls it a food grade rubber gasket.
The ring seals the lid so pressure can build. Replace a gasket that leaks steam at the lid edge or delays the whistle. Also replace it if it has turned hard, cracked or loose.
Check before you order: Preethi's 2 and 3 litre aluminium cookers take a smaller gasket. Its stainless steel and triply cookers take their own gaskets.
