A compatible sealing ring for Nandi pressure cookers of the junior size. It comes in a Nandi Plus pack, as in the photo, which carries the ISI mark with IS 7466 and describes the ring as synthetic food-grade rubber.
The ring sits in the rim of the lid and keeps the steam in while the cooker builds pressure. Replace it when steam hisses out at the lid, the cooker takes much longer to whistle, or the rubber is hard, cracked or loose.
Check before you order: this is the junior size for the regular Nandi cookers. Nandi stainless steel cookers take the SS junior gasket, and the mini and senior sizes are listed separately.
