A compatible gasket for Nandi pressure cookers in the senior size, for the bigger cookers of the range. As in the photo, it comes in a Nandi Plus pack with the ISI mark (IS 7466); the pack says synthetic food-grade rubber.
It seals the lid to the body so the cooker can reach pressure. Replace it when steam leaks from under the lid, the whistle takes much longer than it used to, or the ring is hard, cracked or stretched.
Check before you order: the mini and junior sizes are separate gaskets, as are the rings for Nandi stainless steel cookers. Compare it with your old ring, or bring the old ring to us if you are unsure.
