A Stahl lid handle for the Xpress tri-ply pressure cooker, as our supplier lists it. It fixes to the lid and is what you hold to open and close it.
As in the photo, it is black with a brass threaded insert at the lid end, and it comes with two long screws, two square nuts, a small screw and a small clear cap. Replace the handle when it is cracked, burnt or loose.
Check before you order: Stahl makes three Xpress lid handles and tells them apart by the underside of the lid. A lid with an extra screw near the handle takes Handle Model 1; a lid with no screw there takes Model 2 (our Old Type handle); a lid with a resettable safety valve there takes Model 3. This handle has the brass insert for that extra screw.
A cracked or loose lid is a splash and a spill risk, and on a pressure appliance it stops the unit holding pressure at all.
