Bergner's lid handle for the Argent Avinash, Bergner's tri-ply stainless steel inner lid pressure cooker. The Bergner pack lists all four sizes: 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 5 litre, and Bergner's online shop says it fits all sizes.
It is a flat black Bakelite bar with two screw holes and the Bergner logo on top, and it comes with two small screws, as in the photos. Replace it when it is cracked, burnt or loose, or when it no longer sits firm on the lid.
Check before you order: it is only for the inner lid Argent Avinash. Bergner's outer lid cookers (Argent Classic, Pura, Pura Globe, Trimax, Sorrento) take their own lid handles. Bergner part no. SPR-133.
A cracked or loose lid is a splash and a spill risk, and on a pressure appliance it stops the unit holding pressure at all.
