A jar coupler for Ultra mixer jars: the black drive piece under the jar that locks into the motor coupler and turns the blade. It has six claws and a knurled brass threaded centre, as in the photo, and screws onto the blade spindle.

Replace it when the claws are worn, rounded or broken, the jar slips or rattles on the base, or the blade does not turn with the motor.
