A compatible heating coil (element) for Bajaj and Crompton geysers, of the type our supplier calls JD 05. It is not made by Bajaj or Crompton. As in the photo, it is a long folded element with a straight closed tube beside it. Both stand on a round flange with a black rubber gasket and terminals underneath.
Replace it when the geyser has power but the water stays cold, or it trips the MCB. A burnt or heavily scaled coil is the usual cause, but a faulty thermostat can show the same signs.
