A non-return valve (NRV) for storage geysers that is also the pressure safety valve. It is the L-shaped chrome valve in the photo, marked 0.9 MPa, with a small side outlet and a red lever.
It goes on the geyser's cold water inlet, with the arrow on the body pointing the way the water flows in. It stops hot water flowing back into the inlet pipe, and lets water out of the side outlet if the tank pressure goes above 0.9 MPa. A few drops while the geyser heats can be normal.
Replace it when it leaks at the body or threads, the lever is broken, or it drips all the time even with the geyser cold.
