Preethi's 2.8 ampere overload cut-out (Preethi part 41000370). As in the photo, it is an Ajay circuit breaker marked 2.8A, 220-240V AC, 50/60Hz, with a red reset button and two spade terminals.
It protects the motor: when the mixer is overloaded, the cut-out trips and the motor stops. After it trips, switch off, take out some of the load, wait a few minutes and press the red button under the base. A cut-out that trips again and again at normal loads, or never resets, needs replacing.
Check before you order: the new rating must match the old one, so read the amps printed on its side. This part is wired into the mains inside the base. Book a mixer grinder repair and our technician will test the mixer and fit it.
